Sometimes you can make a bigger impact when you stick a little closer to home. I'm especially proud of this campaign, and the team that made it happen. Valencia Gayles was my strategy partner in laying the groundwork and defining the very narrow path forward.

Seattle Public Schools has an uphill climb when it comes to recruiting Black educators in one of the whitest cities in America. We were asked to help shift perception with graduating Black educators in the country, and ideally open the door to conversations about the districts new strategic plan.  
The  campaign “Seattle Rising” was developed to work across paid, owned and earned channels in key cities we identified early on in the planning stages. 
“Seattle Rising” was recently honored with a Golden Achievement Award from the National School Public Relations Association.
